Painful Fall

To love again, I swear.
My soul just learns to pray.
But who would truly care
if I'm in pain day by day?
Whoever I might love
could hurt me just enough.
I don't want pain once more,
so I'll drink and ignore.
I'm afraid to love again. Don't want to fill the heart with pain.
Maybe I will lose
if my heart will choose. Maybe best to leave it all.
Not relive that painful fall is the better way.
